The Wuhan Tourism & Sports Group announced on Nov. 3 that the sister ship of the Zhiyin cruise was named the Guqin.

    11月3日武汉旅游体育集团透露，“知音号”姊妹船名称最终定为“古琴号”。

Preparatory work for a sister ship started at the end of 2018. The ship’s construction officially began on May 26. Prior to that, organizers launched an activity, asking the public for possible names for the ship. Within a few months, the organizers received over 600 proposals.

武汉旅游体育集团2018年底启动知音号“姊妹船”筹备工作。今年5月26日，该船正式动工开建。在正式开建之前，知音号“姊妹船”面向大众启动船名征集，短短几个月收到600多份投稿。

Proposals that recommended Guqin cruise by netizens "Shuangmuzi" and "Laohu" were accepted. An officer from the Wuhan Tourism & Sports Group explained that the friendship between Yu Boya and Zhong Ziqi, a well-known classical Chinese story that happened in Wuhan, started with their common love to Guqin. "Since both 'Zhiyin' and 'Guqin' are closely related to the story of Yu and Zhong , it was fitting to name the sister ship, Guqin."  

  网友“双木子”和“老虎”投稿的“古琴号”最终被选用。“武汉是知音故里，‘伯牙子期因古琴结知音’的故事流传千年，‘知音号’姊妹船名称定为‘古琴号’，正是对知音文化的诠释和赋能，并有助于推进其在大众中的传播和传承。”武汉旅游体育集团有关负责人介绍说。

The walls of the upper part of the Guqin will completely be made of glass. The construction of the cruise ship is expected to be completed by September, 2021 and will be put into test operation during the National Day holiday. In the future it will provide complementary services such as meeting, catering, and sight-seeing.

在外观上，“古琴号上层建筑采用全玻璃幕墙，科技感十足。 “古琴号”预计于2021年9月建成，“十一”期间下水运营。“古琴号”将与“知音号”形成产品联动，提供会议、餐饮、观光等服务。
