The 2020 Wuhan Design Day, first of its kind after the COVID-19 battle in Wuhan, opened at the China Architecture Science and Technology Museum on Nov.1. The event had the official theme “Post-epidemic Recovery and Urban Renewal,” and focused on perspectives of the Wuhan design industry during the epidemic. It conveyed to the public China’s spirit of fighting the epidemic and its design and innovation capacities.

11月1日，位于光谷的中国建筑科技馆，疫后首个武汉设计日开幕。围绕“疫后重振 老城新生”主题，设计日为公众从不同角度展现武汉设计产业在疫情防控期间作出的突出贡献，同时向世界传递中国抗疫精神和设计创新能力。

The 2020 Wuhan Design Day was composed of seven forums, 10 exhibitions, and 26 other activities, including three highlights — a design release ceremony, an exhibition about the construction of the Huoshenshan and Leishenshan hospitals (lasts until Nov. 20), and the Wuhan Creative Design Contest.

2020年武汉设计日包括7场论坛、10场展览、26个各类活动。武汉设计发布盛典、2020年武汉火神山雷神山医院建设展（至11月20日）、武汉创意设计大赛是设计日的三大亮点。

The main venue of the event was at the China Architecture Science and Technology Museum. At the opening ceremony held at the museum, the design of the Huoshenshan Hospital and Leishenshan Hosptal were both granted first prize by the China Engineering and Consulting Association (CECA). It was the first time that CECA granted top prizes for designers in Wuhan.

中国建筑科技馆是活动主会场。在11月1日主会场当天开幕式上，火神山、雷神山医院设计分别被授予一等奖，这是中国勘察设计协会首次为武汉的设计建设者们特别颁发的至高荣誉。

The event’s sub venue was located at Red T Fashion and Creation Block, Jianghan. Between Nov. 1 and 5, citizens can appreciate award-winning works from the Wuhan Creative Design Contest at the block. The event also included activities at several other locations in the city, including the James Jackson Museum, the Zall Art Museum, and the Hubei University of Technology.

2020年武汉设计日在江汉区红T时尚创意街区还设有分场馆，11月1日至5日，广大市民和设计专业人士可前往分会场参观武汉创意设计大赛作品展。设计日部分活动也在翟雅阁博物馆、卓尔美术馆、湖北工业大学等地举办。

This year Wuhan identified six demonstration parks. Among them was the century-old Pinghe Packing Facotory which has transformed into one of the city’s biggest base for cultural and technological innovation. Seventy percent of the companies settled at the park are internet companies.

今年武汉认定了6个设计之都示范园区，其中包括位于汉口青岛路的百年老建筑平和打包厂。打包厂已蜕变成武汉市规模最大的科技文创产业基地之一，入驻的76家企业中七成为“小而美”的互联网企业。
