The opening ceremony of the 2021 China-Africa Innovation Cooperation Conference, jointly staged by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Hubei Provincial People's Government, took place in Wuhan on Dec. 12. Agreements related to 15 key projects in the areas of agriculture, international education, and energy were signed at the ceremony.
12月12日，由科技部与湖北省人民政府共同主办的2021中非创新合作大会在湖北武汉开幕式上，共15个重点项目进行现场签约，涉及农业、国际教育、能源等领域。

Wuhan ranked third nationwide in breadth of communications dissemination

武汉海外网络关注度排名全国第三
On Dec.10, the first Forum on Global Communication of Chinese Cities, jointly sponsored by the Reference News and the News and Information Center of Xinhua News Agency, opened in Beijing. The Report on the Chinese Cities Global Communications Impact Index was released during the forum and ranked Wuhan third following Beijing and Shanghai in terms of breadth of communications dissemination. Wuhan was also awarded as one of the top 10 Pioneering Chinese Cities in Building Global Image.
10日，首届中国城市国际传播论坛在京开幕，由《参考消息》、新华社新闻信息中心联合主办。《中国城市海外影响力分析报告（2021）》会上发布，在分项评分中，海外网络关注度中，武汉位居前三，仅次于北京、上海。论坛上，武汉获评中国国际传播综合影响力先锋城市。

Wuhan Three Towns Football Club secures place in CSL

On Dec. 13 in Meizhou, Guangdong province, Wuhan Three Towns Football Club defeated Kunshan Football Club in the 32nd round of Chinese Football Association China League by 2:0 as Marcos Vinicius Amaral Alves and Deng Zhuoxiang each scored a goal, making the team become the first to secure a place in next season's Chinese Super League (CSL).
12月13日，广东梅州，凭借着马尔康和邓卓翔的两粒进球，武汉三镇队在2021年中甲第32轮联赛中以2∶0击败昆山队，成为本赛季中甲联赛第一支成功“冲超”的球队。

National Public Ice and Snow Season to kick off in Hubei

全国大众冰雪季将在湖北启动

The launch ceremony of the eighth National Public Ice and Snow Season will be held on Dec. 19 simultaneously in Wuhan, Enshi, and Shennongjia, according to a press conference held by the Information Office of Hubei Provincial People's Government on Dec. 14. Wuhan will hold six series of activities and issue 10,000 free vouchers online for locals to experience the winter activities.
12月14日，湖北省人民政府新闻办公室召开的发布会上宣布，第八届全国大众冰雪季的启动仪式将于12月19日在武汉、恩施、神农架三地举行。武汉将陆续举办六大系列活动，并将在网上发放1万张免费体验券。

Total value of Wuhan's imports and exports exceeds RMB 300 billion

The total value of Wuhan's imports and exports between January and November this year was RMB 305.17 billion, according to Wuhan Customs. The export value was RMB 171.98 billion, an increase of 38.6 percent, while imports were valued at RMB 133.19 billion, a 13.6 percent growth.
武汉海关对外发布，前11个月，武汉市进出口总值3051.7亿元。其中，出口1719.8亿元，增长38.6%；进口1331.9亿元，增长13.6%。

On Dec. 13, the finals of the 2021 China Paddleboard Club League were held on East Lake near Chufeng Garden, where nearly 20 paddleboard clubs from various provinces and cities showcased their competitive skills.
13日，2021年中国桨板俱乐部联赛总决赛在东湖楚风园码头水域举行，来自各省市的近20家桨板俱乐部的高手在美丽的东湖上乘风破浪，比拼技艺。
