The Year of the Tiger is just around the corner! Wuhan has set up tiger-themed installations and decorations for the Spring Festival, creating a strong festive atmosphere.
农历虎年越来越近，武汉已经布置好迎春装置，虎年元素品类繁多，喜庆的新年气息日渐浓厚。

Snowfall in Wuhan

A heavy snowfall just hit Wuhan this week, much of it falling on Thursday evening and Friday. Caidian was blanketed by up to one centimeter of snow by 7 a.m. this morning. The snowfall is forecast to turn from light to medium from this evening into Saturday and become cloudy from Saturday evening onwards.
本周武汉迎来大雪，大部分雨雪天气于周四晚间和周五到达。周五早间7时，蔡甸的积雪已经达到1厘米。据天气预报，28日晚到29日白天，小到中雪，1月29日晚到1月30日白天，多云。

First outdoor ski resort opens
首个户外滑雪场开园

On Jan. 22, Qugu Ski Resort, the first year-round outdoor ski resort in Wuhan, was opened to the public. The ski resort is located in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone and boasts a snow-covered area of nearly 10,000 square meters and a slope of up to 160 meters, making it a wonderful place for beginners.
1月22日，武汉首座四季户外滑雪场——武汉趣谷滑雪场开门迎客。这座滑雪场位于武汉经开区，雪地覆盖面积约为1万平方米，滑雪道长约160米，非常适合初学者。

GDP grows 12.2% in 2021
2021年GDP同比增长12.2%

Wuhan's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 12.2% over 2020 to RMB 1,771.6 billion in 2021, according to the Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Statistics.
市统计局表示，2021年我市地区生产总值（GDP）17716.76亿元，比上年增长12.2%。

Best time to visit East Lake Plum Garden
东湖梅园最佳观赏期来了

The Spring Festival holiday will be the best time to go to the East Lake Plum Garden, as 40% of its plum blossoms are blooming. The peak bloom will last until after the Lantern Festival. The garden covers an area of more than 53 hectares and has over 20,000 plants of 340 varieties of plum blossoms.
东湖梅园园内梅花已盛开四成，春节期间迎来最佳观赏期，盛花期将持续至元宵节之后。东湖梅园现占地800余亩，有梅花品种340余种，梅花2万余株。

Wuhan rated as one of major cities for football development
武汉获评全国足球发展重点城市
On Jan. 25, nine cities namely Wuhan, Shanghai, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Changchun, Chongqing, Dalian, and Qingdao were approved as the first batch of the major cities for national-level football development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
25日，武汉市、上海市、成都市、深圳市、广州市、长春市、重庆市、大连市、青岛市等9个城市获评“十四五”期间首批全国足球发展重点城市。
